Nurses Rising: Advocating for Sexual And Reproductive Health
September 27-29, 2019 | Atlanta, GA
NSRH believes in the power of nurses to rise up, bringing new light and hope to healthcare. We’re building a home for nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives, educators, and students of those professions. There’s power in numbers, and nurses need that collective power to advocate for themselves and for their patients!
As we support nurses rising to the top of their field, we also support students and nurses in raising their voices for justice. This year’s conference will provide organizing and advocacy strategies while examining key reproductive justice issues that shape daily nursing practice. Education and training sessions will equip students and nurses with skills to provide full-spectrum sexual and reproductive healthcare, while including ongoing learning opportunities and resources. And, as always, the conference provides a terrific opportunity to catch up with acquaintances you haven't seen in a while, as well as to make new ones!

Nurses Rising Keynote Speaker: Representative Rachel Prusak
Representative Prusak (APRN, FNP) is a pro-choice champion. She spent years working at Planned Parenthood providing full-spectrum reproductive health services. In 2018, she ran for office because she believes nurses belong at the table where decisions are being made that impact our patients and communities. Read Rep Prusak's complete bio.
As we're finalizing the conference program, we'll provide information on topics and presenters.
