Anika Fassia is a full spectrum certified doula, a licensed master of social work and a registered nurse. Anika began working for systems level change as an inaugural policy fellow for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in D.C. Since then, Anika has spent the last 8 years working for national organizations to advance the role of the public sector in ensuring racial and economic justice as a communications strategist and trainer working with elected officials, campaign staff, unions and advocates. In her commitment to remain grounded in service delivery Anika completed her BSN in 2016 and is also a nurse at Whole Woman's Health in Austin, TX. Anika has served on several boards, including North American Students for Cooperation (NASCO), APIA-MI Vote, Cooperation Texas and Community Yoga Austin.
